Hardwoods like Jarrah and Ironbark are denser and slower-grown than softwoods (pine). That density means they burn hotter, longer and form a stable coal bed — exactly what you want for winter heating. Softwoods light faster but burn quickly and can leave creosote. What Size Should You Buy?
Standard Split (larger pieces, loaf-of-bread size) burns longer and suits large fireplaces and heaters. Double Split (pizza cut) is half the size — easier to light, perfect for pizza ovens and compact fireboxes. All our bulk wood is 250–350mm long, ready to use. Not sure? Seasoned Matters
