How much does delivery cost?+
Delivery is calculated as 10% of your order total and is used to cover fuel costs for our trucks. The delivery fee is automatically added to your invoice at checkout so you can see the full total upfront.

The 10% delivery fee is a transparent fuel surcharge that scales with the size of your load and the distance we travel. It covers truck fuel, driver time and vehicle costs so you pay a fair, proportional fee rather than a flat rate that overcharges small orders or undercharges big ones.

What is the moisture content of your firewood?+
Our firewood is seasoned to 10–15% moisture content, well below the 25% legal threshold for sale in WA. This means it lights easily, burns hot and produces less smoke and creosote.
Is your firewood properly seasoned?+
Yes. Every batch is tested with a moisture meter on arrival at the yard and seasoned under cover until it reaches 10–15% moisture. We don’t sell green wood.
What is the difference between Jarrah, Ironbark and Red Gum?+

What size are the logs?+
Our standard split logs are cut to approximately 250–350mm length – suitable for most open fires, slow-combustion heaters and fire pits. Double split pizza cut is slimmer for smaller fireboxes and pizza ovens.
How much firewood do I need for a Perth winter?+
An average Perth household using fire most evenings will burn 2–3 tonnes per winter. If you only use fire on weekends or as a secondary heat source, 1–1.5 tonnes is usually enough.
How much does 1 tonne of firewood cover?+
One tonne of Australian hardwood is roughly 2 cubic metres stacked. It fills the boot and back seat of a large ute or a 6×4 trailer loaded level.
Is half a tonne of firewood enough?+
Half a tonne is ideal for a top-up, a weekend cabin, an apartment fireplace or occasional fire-pit use. Most households ordering for the full winter prefer 2 tonnes or more.
Do you sell by the kilogram, the tonne or the cubic metre?+
We sell bulk firewood by the tonne, weighed on certified loader scales at our yard. Bagged products are sold by the bag (20kg firewood, 10kg kindling). This way you get exactly what you pay for.
Are your weights accurate?+
Yes – every bulk load passes over certified loader scales before leaving the yard. The tonnage you order is the tonnage tipped on your driveway.
Do you stack firewood on delivery?+
Standard delivery is a tip onto your driveway or designated spot. If you need stacking, please mention it in your order notes or contact us on WhatsApp for a custom quote.
Do I need to be home for delivery?+
Not necessarily – as long as we have safe access to your driveway and a clear spot to tip, you don’t need to be home. Let us know your drop preference in the order notes.

Is your firewood sustainably sourced?+
Yes. Our firewood is sourced from FPC (Forest Products Commission) approved suppliers and sustainably managed Australian forests and plantations. We do not source from national parks or unauthorised logging.
Is your wood treated or painted?+
No. We never sell treated, painted, stained or chemically preserved wood. All our firewood is natural Australian hardwood – safe for indoor fires, pizza ovens and cooking.
Do you sell ‘green’ or unseasoned wood?+
No. We only sell properly seasoned hardwood at 10–15% moisture. We don’t sell green wood because it smokes heavily, is hard to light and contributes to flue creosote buildup.
How should I store my firewood?+
Stack firewood off the ground on a rack or pallet, in a well-ventilated spot with a cover over the top but open sides. Don’t seal it under plastic – airflow is key to keeping it dry.
How long does firewood stay seasoned?+
As long as it is stored off the ground with airflow and protected from heavy rain, seasoned firewood stays ready to burn indefinitely.
Do I need to dry the wood further after delivery?+
No – our wood is delivered at 10–15% moisture and ready to burn immediately. Just keep it dry and ventilated after delivery.
Can I use your firewood for a wood-fired pizza oven?+
Absolutely. Our double split pizza-cut Jarrah and Ironbark are specifically sized and selected for wood-fired pizza ovens, reaching the high temperatures required for authentic pizza in 90 seconds.
Can I cook or smoke food over your firewood?+

Some firewood FAQ answers use trade terms. Here is what they mean, so you can compare listings with confidence.
- Seasoned firewood – wood that has been split and left to dry so much of its moisture has gone. It lights more easily, burns hotter and makes less smoke than freshly cut (green) wood.
- Moisture content – the percentage of water in the wood, measured with a moisture meter on a freshly split face. Lower readings generally mean easier lighting and cleaner burning.
- Standard split – larger pieces for heaters and fireplaces. They take longer to catch but burn for longer.
- Double split / pizza cut – pieces split again to roughly half the thickness. They light quickly and suit pizza ovens, fire pits and small fireboxes.
- Tonne – 1,000kg by weight. Buying by weight lets you compare loads fairly, unlike loose “trailer” or “cube” measures that depend on how the wood is stacked.
- Kindling – thin, dry sticks placed between the firelighter and the logs to build heat before larger pieces go on.
- Hardwood – dense timber such as Jarrah, Ironbark and Red Gum. It produces long-lasting coals compared with softwoods like pine.
- Creosote – a tar-like deposit that builds up in flues, especially when damp wood is burned. Dry wood and regular chimney checks help reduce it.
